The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has officially partnered with YouTube, making the platform the new global home of the Oscars® starting in 2029.
Under this agreement, YouTube will stream the Oscars® worldwide, allowing audiences to watch the ceremony live on a digital platform. In the United States, the broadcast will also be available through YouTube TV.
The partnership includes not only the main awards ceremony, but also other official Academy content such as nominations announcements, red carpet coverage, and special Academy events, all hosted on the official Oscars® YouTube channel.
This move reflects the Oscars®’ shift toward digital platforms as global viewing habits continue to change, expanding reach and accessibility for audiences around the world.
