Tencent continues to enhance its Hunyuan 3 (Hy3) AI model with new capabilities focused on productivity, reasoning, and real-world applications. The latest update improves the model’s ability to work with everyday office documents, including Excel, PDF, and HTML, while also delivering stronger long-form writing, knowledge-based question answering, and more structured reasoning.
The upgraded Hy3 is also designed to perform better in AI agent scenarios. Tencent says the model now offers improved task planning, tool coordination, and multi-agent collaboration, making it more reliable for handling complex workflows. Within Marvis Agent, Tencent’s operating system-level AI assistant, Hy3 powers features such as file creation and editing, file management, computer diagnostics, and automated task execution with greater speed and stability.
Beyond productivity, Tencent is integrating Hy3 into a variety of consumer and business services. On Weixin (WeChat), AI-powered customer service assistants can better understand user intent and provide more accurate responses, even when questions are incomplete or lack context. In gaming, titles such as Path of Exile: Advent on WeGame are also using Hy3 to improve AI assistant accuracy, reduce hallucinations, and create a more reliable player experience.
Tencent is making Hy3 available under the Apache 2.0 open-source license, allowing developers worldwide to use and customize the model for commercial projects. The company also plans to expand availability across popular AI development platforms, including OpenRouter, Hermes, Kilo, Cline, OpenClaw, OpenCode, Cherry Studio, Hugging Face, and ModelScope. Tencent says the rapid evolution of Hy3 reflects its goal of transforming advanced AI research into practical tools that improve productivity across industries.
