Telegram founder Pavel Durov says the platform’s t.me links were experiencing issues. In a post on X, Durov stated that t.me links had stopped functioning properly. He also tagged domain.ME, asking the domain registry to investigate the problem.
Durov’s post quickly caught the attention of the tech community and Telegram users worldwide. Earlier reports suggested that the t.me domain had been placed under serverHold status, a condition that can remove a domain from the global DNS system. As a result, t.me links could become inaccessible to users across different regions.
So far, no official explanation has been provided regarding the cause of the disruption. Various theories have emerged online, ranging from administrative issues with the domain registration to technical problems within the registry’s infrastructure. However, none of these claims have been officially confirmed.
Despite the uncertainty, Durov’s public statement indicates that the issue has been acknowledged and is receiving attention. Telegram users are advised to wait for official updates from Telegram and domain.ME regarding the investigation and restoration of the t.me service. Once the issue is resolved, the links are expected to function normally again.
