Firebird, a rising AI cloud provider, has officially inaugurated the largest AI factory in the CIS region, located in Armenia. The announcement, made on August 8, 2026, represents a critical milestone in the global expansion of artificial intelligence infrastructure. This development is vital as it establishes a new strategic computing hub in Eurasia, leveraging the latest hardware to meet the skyrocketing demand for generative AI and advanced research capabilities.
The new facility introduces a high-performance architecture powered by NVIDIA’s cutting-edge accelerated computing and Dell Technologies’ infrastructure. A standout feature is the planned deployment of over 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs, which offers a massive leap in processing power compared to previous regional installations. The factory is designed to provide 300 megawatts of capacity, aiming to accelerate Armenia’s transition into a leading center for innovation and high-tech development.
Technologically, the project integrates Schneider Electric’s medium- and low-voltage switchgear and three-phase uninterruptible power systems to ensure a stable foundation for the massive compute load. The implementation was remarkably swift, transitioning from planning to an operational state in just over six months. Located in Hrazdan, the factory serves a broad spectrum of target users, including researchers and enterprises, with a full rollout of its infrastructure scheduled to be completed by the end of 2027.
