Meta has officially introduced Seller, a dedicated app designed to make buying and selling on Facebook Marketplace more efficient. The new application is aimed at users who actively sell products on Marketplace, from casual sellers to small business owners looking for a more streamlined way to manage their online sales.
With the Seller app, users can manage product listings, organize inventory, and respond to customer inquiries through a unified inbox. Meta has also integrated artificial intelligence (AI) features that can help sellers generate product descriptions and create listings more quickly, making it easier to publish and manage items for sale.
According to Meta, Facebook Marketplace hosts around 430 million product listings every month worldwide. To support this growing ecosystem, the company developed Seller as a standalone app focused specifically on the needs of Marketplace sellers. The app is initially rolling out to eligible users aged 18 and older in the United States through the App Store, with broader availability expected in the future.
The launch of Seller reflects Meta’s continued investment in expanding Facebook Marketplace as a major e-commerce platform. By combining inventory management tools, sales insights, and AI-powered assistance into a single application, Meta aims to help sellers run their businesses more efficiently while reaching more potential buyers across Facebook.
