Google has recently introduced a new way to use the Chrome browser with the help of artificial intelligence called Gemini 3. No longer limited to simply displaying web pages, Chrome is now capable of handling complex task sequences automatically through a feature known as Auto Browse. This feature is designed to reduce repetitive work that usually requires multiple clicks and time, such as planning trips, filling out online forms, or comparing products across different websites.
Another major change is the integration of Gemini into a side panel within Chrome, allowing users to stay productive without switching tabs. Through this panel, the AI can perform various actions while users remain focused on their main activity in the primary browser window. This highlights Google’s ambition to make AI an inseparable part of the everyday web-browsing experience.
Auto Browse itself functions as a “digital agent” that understands high-level instructions. For example, users can ask Chrome to find the best prices for flights or hotels, gather specific information from multiple sources, or even add items to shopping carts automatically. However, sensitive steps such as payments still require explicit user approval.
With this update, Google demonstrates its vision that a browser is no longer just a tool for viewing web pages, but has evolved into an intelligent assistant that proactively helps users complete tasks. Features like Auto Browse and deeper AI integration within Google’s ecosystem push the internet browsing experience toward a new level that is more efficient and personalized.
