Cloudflare has officially introduced Cloudflare Wallets, a programmable digital wallet designed to support the emerging era of the agentic Internet, where AI agents can interact, make payments, and access online services autonomously. With this solution, developers can provide AI agents with digital identities and payment capabilities without having to build wallet infrastructure from scratch. The launch is part of Cloudflare’s broader effort to prepare the internet for increasingly autonomous AI applications.

Cloudflare Wallets allow AI agents to create and manage programmable wallet addresses capable of sending, receiving, and controlling digital assets based on rules defined by developers. The wallets are also designed to integrate with the x402 payment ecosystem, enabling AI agents to automatically pay for APIs, datasets, and digital services without requiring human involvement in every transaction.

Beyond payment functionality, Cloudflare emphasizes security and developer control. Developers can define spending policies, set transaction limits, and integrate wallets directly into applications running on Cloudflare’s platform. This approach allows AI agents to operate independently while remaining within clearly defined security and operational boundaries.

The introduction of Cloudflare Wallets highlights a future where the internet is no longer built solely for human users, but also for autonomous AI agents capable of working and transacting on their own. By combining identity, programmable payments, and security controls into a single platform, Cloudflare aims to accelerate the development of more automated, efficient, and AI-ready digital services.
