Telegram has rolled out its latest update with a focus on improving security, digital transactions, and overall user experience. This update introduces several new features that make the platform more practical and engaging for everyday use across different devices.
One of the key features is passkeys, which allow users to log in using device-based authentication such as biometrics or a local PIN. This removes the need for SMS verification codes, offering faster access and better protection against common security risks like SIM-swap attacks.
Telegram also introduces Gift Purchase Offers, enabling users to securely make purchase offers for gifts shown on other users’ profiles. Using Telegram Stars or TON, payments are safely held until the offer is accepted, and automatically refunded if the offer is rejected or expires.
Additionally, Telegram Stories now support audio, allowing users to add music or sound from their saved playlists. This feature makes Stories more expressive and strengthens Telegram’s position as a platform that combines secure messaging, digital ownership, and creative social interaction.
